I have over the last year since I again decided after a 5 year break to teach pressure points to those in the world without access to a direct instructor gotten many, many emails thanking me for being willing to share knowledge others don't seem to want to share.
In many cases this is true. \kyusho been treated by many instructors over the years like it is mystical, well there is nothing mystical about it. It is all simply a combination of physics and biology. Nothing more, nothing else, and the Chinese culture has known this for thousands of years.
At one time this essential part of every martial arts was taught from master to student. But in that time there was not "mass" teaching like today. Most of the time it was a family system, taught from father to son. In the 19th century it began to be taught to children in school as a form of defense, tradition, discipline and health.
However the techniques were watered down, and thus the birth of the "do" arts.
Now it is primarily the "do" arts that are taught today. Children make up about 80% of those who learn martial arts. When men like George Dillman were taught these alleged "secrets" they wished to bring these teaching to the martial arts world. And GM Dillman did a great job of it. But for some reason in martial arts power struggles emerge, arguments, hurt feelings, all those nasty things happen.
Then teaching, real teaching come to a halt, as instructors begin to protect the information, teaching a select few. This happens all the time, look at American Kenpo after Parker passed away, Aikido after O'Sensei passed, and Taekwondo after the General died.
It just seems to be human nature.
The Kyusho Jitsu World Alliances Mandate is to pass this information on, reach as many people as possible and create a network worldwide of qualified people to teach it. Some information I offer for FREE for the purpose of gathering interest and spreading the word. Other information, most of it has a price associated with it. This is what I do for a living and has been for 15 years now. Those who wish to certify and teach can greatly benefit financial from the know if they have a clue about business, therefore I certainly do expect and deserve compensation.
