What is Kyusho Jitsu Really?

What is the pressure point system known as kyusho jitsu really? It is exactly that, it is a system.

Kyusho Jitsu is not really a "martial art" even though I and many others will refer to it as one.  Why is it NOT a martial art? Because simply it does not teach any style or method of body movement. It rather supplements the movement the student already knows.

If there is no root art, or some type of root combat system, the knowledge really has no application. But all knowledge is good!

So, if it not a martial art then why are Black Belts issued? Simply, the truth of the Black Belt is NOT what most martial arts want to think it is. Back in history of the arts, before the commercialization of the world there was no belt ranking system.  Black Belts represent a personal achievement and a teaching credential.

That is really it. A life achievement marker. Now for some, and I honestly find them pathetic, it is some type of status symbol they believe makes the "better" then someone else.  But their self esteem problems are none of my business, nor do I engage it.

The student of Kyusho Jitsu can if they chose to obtain a rank, or they can simply learn and apply the information. it is all a personal thing.

Kyusho Jitsu is an excellent supplement to any art, a great learning experience and also a lot of fun to learn!

Have a great week!
